After a successful period of development and testing in 2013 the engineering team at Huachai Power and EMAC International Group Ltd are pleased to announce the BF6M1015HC and BF8M1015HC Series Marine Engines have passed the Fisheries Inspection Certification of Heibei Fisheries Inspection Bureau for use in off shore and coastal fishing vessels.
The independently developed engines use Deutz technology and have been designed to provide a compact structure in V6 11 litre and V8 15 litre configurations.
The engines were awarded type approval classification by the Qinhuangdao branch of CCS and will be launched in to the very competitive Chinese market in 2014 after completing final sea trials.
On 30th December 2013 six units of BFM1015HC series engines developed by Hebei Huabei Diesel Engine Company were delivered to a company in Foshan Guangdong. These are the first sales of this type of marine engine in to the civilian market.
Of the six engines two are BF8M1015HC marine propulsion engines and 4 are BF6M1015HC auxiliary engines used to drive generators and hydraulic winches.
Customers were consulted, in the testing and development of the engines. This helped our engineers overcome problems in the design stage and deliver an engine perfectly suited to small and medium sized vessels and match power characteristics to the different marine applications.
So far the sea trials are proving that the engines are meeting and exceeding expectations and we are looking forward to the engines becoming available for sale later this year.
